Obituary of Patricia A. Harten

Patricia A. Harten Patricia A. Harten, a resident of Pleasant Valley, entered into rest Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 64. Daughter of the late Thomas A. and Frances Rogan Harten, she was born October 25, 1946 in Manhattan. On October 23, 1993 she married Raymond Israel in Gallatin, New York. Mr. Israel survives at home in Pleasant Valley. Patricia was a social worker for Adult Protective Services in Dutchess County. She truly enjoyed her career and became an advocate for the aged. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, James Condon and his wife, Kristen Darbyshire and their daughter Maen Eri Condon; her cousin who became a daughter, Therese McKenna and her husband, James, Sr. and their children, Steven Relyea, Kristen Relyea, Danielle Relyea, Crystal Costa and James McKenna, Jr. as well as numerous beloved cousins. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 2 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. Interment will follow in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
