Obituary of Joann C. Syngjellari

Joann C. Syngjellari of Fishkill, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at home. She was 64. Daughter of the late Joseph and Lorraine Ferraro Sucato, Joann was born on June 15, 1950 in Poughkeepsie. She married the love of her life, Ramadan D. Syngjellari on May 31, 1969 at Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. With her husband, Joann owned and operated Mama John's Restaurant in Beacon for many years. Joann had a deep love of family; her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She lived her life always taking care of other people. In addition to her husband, Ramadan at home, she is survived by her children, Natasha Syngjellari and her fiancé, James Eric Watson, Ramadan Syngjellari and his wife, Kerryn, and Joseph Syngjellari; brothers, Rosario Sucato and his wife, Cecile, and Michael Sucato and his wife, Michelle; sister, Palmina Scotto and her husband, Domenico; beloved grandchildren, Sydney, Jaidyn and Dominic; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street in Fishkill.
