To the Browne family,
As I viewed the obituary this morning and saw the wonderful picture of your wife and mom, with that smile that would light up a room, I was flooded with so many great memories. The laughter, the smells, the garden, the stern looks, “the closet”, the cookies, football in the street, camping in the back yard, the “mischief”, the friendship, the love. Much of my “growing up” years were spent at your home. I will be forever thankful for the Browne family and for an amazing lady who loved and cared for me like a second mother. She was gift and blessing to everyone around her. Truly a life well lived and worth celebrating. I am so sorry for your great loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am grateful for all of you. With much love.

To the Browne Family: Sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Browne (aka Mary T). Hers was a life well lived. Many memories growing up across the street: borrowing eggs, sugar, butter and of course bumming 'smokes' for my father (and occasionally for me and Johnny too!). I still have and use a blue shaving kit she gave me for HS grad. She thought I would need one at West Point. The cadre promptly confiscated it for the first year as contraband. Since then that 'blue bag' has been many places. It is a simple reminder of a wonderful and kind person - "Mrs. Browne from across the street".
