I just learned of Andy's passing today. Andy was a kind soul who really did care for every child in his care on his bus route. My daughter (then in first grade) lost her earring on the bus and was so upset. Andy stopped, turned the bus off and searched until he found her earring, completely saving the day for a 6 year old.
Andy might have only been my daughter's bus driver for one year but we will carry him in our hearts forever.
To this day we say, "don't slip on the ice," on the hottest summer days thanks to Andy :)

My most fondest memory of Andy was when I worked with him one summer on grounds... I was pruning trees and he was mowing the lawn and I found a pair of spandex shorts made for a young kid that Andy took and managed to get up over his jeans and left them on for the rest of the day walking around like a fool including going back to the compound when we had to punch out.. You know people were looking at him like there was something wrong with him... Me on the other hand laughed so hard I couldn't even see straight... If you ever wanted to know about things you never heard of... Andy was a plethora of knowledge... In addition he could mow a lawn like no other, fix a car, build things, Play drums like he was the lead drummer in a band and believe it or not he sang pretty good too... He had the funniest nicknames for everybody he knew And they were all quite fitting.. he was unlike anybody else with his long gray hair, his long piece of hair growing off his chin, his cowboy hat and his black fingernails And always wearing a long sleeved neon shirt while at work.. he was a kind soul and a funny one at that.. You will forever be in my heart...Jadeen
