Obituary of Vikram Ramniklal Tolat

It is with deep and overwhelming sadness that we share the news of the passing of the kindest and most pure-hearted human we know, VIKRAM RAMNIKLAL TOLAT.    Vikram passed unexpectedly on August, 15, 2023. Born on March 9, 1935, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India,  he was the youngest son of Hasumati Ramniklal Tolat and Ramniklal Nagindas Tolat. He immigrated by ship to the U.S. for further education in 1959.  On March 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Shrilekha V. Tolat.   Their son, Dr. Aneesh V. Tolat and his daughter, Amee J. Lunn, Esq. were his pride and joy, and also the loves of his life.   He was so grateful for his daughter-in-law, Nischala A. Tolat and his son-in-law, James E. Lunn, Jr., for the way they loved the family as their own.   His five beautiful grandchildren, Jais, Nya, Aarohi, Adarsh and Shaylen, made his life complete and brought him pure joy, pride and laughter.   

          Vikram was the holder of three Master’s degrees and retired after working for IBM forty (40) years, as an electrical engineer and then in the corporate headquarters as the Corporate Technical Recognition Event planner.   He lived life fully each day with ambition and determination in a way that was inspiring and made us so proud.  After his retirement, Vikram was able to pursue his love of music, travel and history with his partner and best-friend by his side.  He most recently was preparing for his Visharad degree in classical Hindustani music. His compassion, kindness and desire to help those in need, and live life with honesty and sincerity were unparalleled.   We were truly blessed to have lived our lives with him by our side.  An act of kindness in his honor would be the greatest way to honor and remember him.
