Obituary of Isabel L. Minunni

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Isabel L. Minunni on November 23, 2024, at the age of 61. Isabel was a loving wife, mom, Grammy, sister, aunt and friend who brought so much joy and love to everyone who knew her.

Isabel’s true self began when she married the love of her life, Jimmy Minunni. Together, they built a beautiful life with their two daughters, Ashley Jones (husband Zach Jones) and Shannon Sylvia (partner Cat Sylvia). She was a proud and devoted Grammy to her grandson, Carlo Jones, who was the light of her life. Isabel is also survived by her siblings, Maria Gleason, Philip Gatti, Pat Gatti, Joseph Gatti and Anthony Gatti along with her best friend, Diana Colello, who was like family to her.

Isabel had a true passion for cooking, which led her to write multiple cookbooks, win many cooking competitions, and appear on tv shows like Live with Kelly and Michael and The Today Show. She even competed at the World Food Championships, where her talent really stood out. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends, making every gathering special and full of love. Her chicken pepperoncini along with many other delicious recipes will be handed down through generations to come. Her love and memory will be savored with every bite.

Isabel loved traveling, watching sunsets, and savoring a glass of Prosecco. Her greatest joy came from spending time and making memories with her family and the people she cared about most. Her grandson, Carlo, was her heart and soul, and she cherished every moment with him. One of her proudest and happiest times was witnessing both of her daughters get married recently.  With her passion for entertaining, Isabel made sure their weddings were nothing short of perfect. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of her cuddly pets.

Isabel will always be remembered for her bright smile, kind heart, and the happiness she brought to everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th at Straub Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, followed by a celebration of her life. More details will be shared soon.
