My name is Erica Waterston, I am Velda's granddaughter. I was trying to locate her this past year. .Just two months ago i found a phone number for her and tried to call in hope of meeting her..so sorry i never got the chance. My deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends.

Spent the first seven years of my life with my mother and still have fond memories of her and my aunts and uncles there in New York to this day. (I'm sixty-four now)
Life was hard and we drifted apart, but were able to get back together after some lost time.
Dave always made me feel that Mom was well taken care of. That was good.
Probably one of the best vacations I have ever had occurred just last year when Marie and I went back to New York and spent a week with my Mom and Dave, enjoying their company and enjoying Wappingers Falls.
I loved my mother and will miss her dearly.
But I thank God we got a second chance.
