Obituary of Patrick F. Viglotti

Patrick F. Viglotti Patrick F. Viglotti, Sr., 78, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1955 and formerly of Ticonderoga, New York entered into rest, Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Son of the late Pasquele and Giovannina Cioppa Viglotti, he was born November 12, 1927 in Ticonderoga, New York. Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948 where he was stationed in Japan. He graduated from Siena College in 1952 with his Masters Degree for teaching. On December 26, 1955 at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls he married the former Rose N. Corona. Mrs. Viglotti survives at home. Patrick was a school teacher with Wappingers Central School District. He retired in 1985 after 32 years of teaching. He was a member of St. Mary Mother of the Church, Fishkill as well as a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1646 in Wappingers Falls. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Rose Viglotti; he is survived by his four sons, Louis J. Viglotti of Hyde Park, Patrick F. Viglotti, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Marietta, Georgia, John Viglotti of Columbia, Maryland and Dr. Paul Viglotti of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughter-in-law and special friend, Ann Viglotti; his three sisters, Madlyn Tancredi of Poughkeepsie, Janet Toma of Cohoes, New York and Ann Archambault of Latham, New York; six grandchildren, Danielle and Anthony Viglotti, Jaclyn and Mark Viglotti and Emma and Sophia Viglotti; his sisters-in-law, Ann Volino and Mary Myer and her husband, Warren; his brothers-in-law, Rev. John Corona and Vincent Corona and his wife, Barbara and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Mary Risbello and Evelyn Swanson and his two brothers Louis and Michael Viglotti. Family will receive their friends on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 30 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
