Obituary of Lyndon Wells

Lyndon "Ka-Bob" Wells passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was 65 years old and was born on February 22, 1949. He was a devoted husband of 41 years with his loving wife, Brenda Wells. He was a father of two; Matt Wells who predeceased him and are now together hanging out and laughing and Eli Wells. He was an uncle and grandfather to three very special children, Amma Lee Wells, Hunter Wesley Wells and Marybella Shawn Wells. Ka- Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 42nd Engineers Co. 09742 stationed in Berlin to keep communism at bay. He received an honorable discharge. He was a retired postal worker and proud union member, where he served for 20 years as vice-president of the Mid-Hudson Area Local 3722 of the APWU. He was a good insightful, knowledgeable, caring person, and a hero who loved engaging in frivolous silliness to make people laugh and always tried to make light of everything. He was a wise, sarcastic ass who will be sorely missed and always said "F*** 'em if they can't take a joke." Towards the end, he was sure death would become a release. He will be forever loved and would want everyone to remember the good times and celebrate his life. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 at the funeral home with Pastor Scharlise Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls. For directions or to send a personal condolence, please visit our website at www.StraubCatalanoHalvey.com.
