Darlene, Words cannot express how much your mother with be missed. She was such a wonderful person, who never missed a beat or was never afraid to let you know what was on her mind. She told many great jokes and her stories about the love of Germany were wonderful. I can still see her telling me to make those cookies for her and I did so without hesitation because the expression on her face was priceless when she ate them. She and you had a great relationship and she trully loved and respected you so much. Jeff was the son she always dreamed of. A truly hardworking guy who would do anything at any time for Ms. Renate and someone who showed his ever ending love for her. She is in heaven walking Ripper, swimming as she had always wanted to do and visiting with my father, Rudy eating a slice of beehive cake. She is also with her true love, Harry.. cooking him a spectacular dinner as she always did. I will trully miss her and the those jokes that she told and her whitty remarks as we spoke. Love ya, Sylvia

Dear Darlene,
Your mother was truly a great friend, always there and helping others. We had a remarkable friendship for well over 40years. There was a beehive cake for "Rudy" One to eat there and one to take home.. Yummmy... I remember all the special Christmas celebrations we had together and your mom always cooked a goose - that was always delicious. We had talked about all the good times in Germany. She will be missed very much. Deine Freundin, Ursula...

My dearest friend Darlene ,The love and care you gave your *mommy* was amazing...you are an amazing daughter. *Mommy* was an amazing mother. You and *mommy* had an undescrible bond. The love and trust you shared with each other showed each and every time I was with you two...every conversation we had. Your *mommy* always came first. Everyone who knows you two saw and felt the same thing. You two were like one. Knowing you and *mommy* for over 25 years has been such fun , I loved every minute with the two of you...she made us laugh , she could tell a great joke. We have many fun stories , some we can share with others , some maybe we shouldn`t share !! Your *mommy* and I had talks , serious talks. She hung on for as long as she did ,for you,she didn`t want to ever leave you . She asked me to always be there for you and help take care of you...and I of course said I would and Darlene, you know I will. Jeffery...you are wonderful. Your love for Renate showed in everything you did for her and Darlene. You were always by their side doing anything and everything that needed to be done . Renate truly loved and trusted you like a son . To our wonderful and caring Mary . You were a blessing, a devoted and trusted companion . We thank you for the wonderful care you gave our precious Renate. I love and will miss Renate so very much. I love you Darlene.

Dear Darlene,
I will remember your mom as a sweet and funny lady who had a bright smile and great sense of humor - and wasn't afraid of the hills at the DC Fair in the wheelchair! You and Jeff (and Mary!)took wonderful care of your mom. May your many happy memories bring you comfort during this sad time. Your mom will always be with you and watching over you with much love and gratitude. And Digger is with her again & watching over her. Much love, Marilyn
