Dear neighbors,
I am so sorry, I did not know that your father had passed until I saw the obituary. My children and I have fond memories of Lillian and Ernie as we've been neighbors for the past 16 years and the lovely treats your mom would give them kids on Halloween. My eldest remembers Lillian working at John Jay. You are all so blessed to hold so many loving and wonderful memories of your parents who are now together again and will watch over you from above. Our Dad was one of those special men
Who truly knew what life was about
Who demonstrated that his family came first
For his actions left no room for doubt
Our Father's greatest joy was his children
In fact, there was no faster way
To light up his face with an ear-to-ear smile
Than the mention of his children and grandchildren's names
He preferred to discuss his children's accomplishments
Rather than his own
And loved to recall the sweet memories
Of his young children and how they had grown
So as we say goodbye and remember
Our Father's life...the man he came to be
He'd be happiest being remembered by all who knew him
