Obituary of Ernest V. Parziale

Ernest V. Parziale Ernest V. Parziale of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 82. Son of the late Vincent J. and Mary Mazzarella Parziale, he was born on March 8, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts. He married the love of his life, Lillian Macluso on May 10, 1953 at St. Leonard's Church in Boston; Mrs. Parziale preceded him in death, passing on October 23, 2009. Mr. Parziale was born and raised in the North End of Boston. He came from a family of bakers; they owned and operated Parziale's Bakery in Boston. After high school, he graduated from MIT with a Bachelor of Science. This led him to a career in Chemical Engineering for IBM, ultimately retiring from the East Fishkill branch. He enjoyed science and technology throughout his entire life. Mr. Parziale was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include his children, Diana Parziale and her companion, Phil Dubuque of Melrose, MA, Lydia Parziale of Fishkill, Mark Parziale of Stamford, CT, James Parziale and his companion, Paul Camire of Melrose, MA, and Carl Parziale and his wife, Carrie of Charlotte, NC; brother, Joseph Parziale and his wife, Lilla of Issaquah, WA; sister, Corinne Davenport and her husband, Roger of Holbrook, MA; sister-in-law, Josephine Parziale of Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren, Christopher Terrat and his wife, Kayley, Lisa Terrat, and Tyler, Gracyn and Kaitlyn Parziale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Lillian, he was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Parziale. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, January 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
