Wanda I. Gonzalez
Wanda I. Gonzalez of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 40.
Daughter of Alida Morales, of Puerto Rico and Juan Gonzalez, of Queens, she was born on February 9, 1967 in Bronx, NY. She married Todd Fowler on September 2, 1995 at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls; Mr. Fowler survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Wanda worked as an engineer for IBM in East Fishkill. She loved being outdoors, but mostly loved just spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by her children, Natasha and Brandon Fowler, at home; and her brother, Juan Gonzalez, Jr. of Puerto Rico.
Family will receive their friends on Sunday January 6, 2008 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 7 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wanda's name for pancreatic cancer research to: Hirshberg Foundation, 2990 S. Sepulveda Blvd. Suite 300C, Los Angeles, CA 90064.
